PROCESSING

All applicants go through an intensive pre hire screening, interviewing, and testing process.
Listed below are the steps in the hiring process:

A.
Application for Employment

Specific background information is requested regarding proof of citizenship and to begin the process of background investigation. Special attention is directed towards the applicant’s employment history.

B.
Personality Evaluation

Applicant completes a questionnaire which outlines an individual’s tendency toward anxiety, body complaints, depression, thievery, drugs, mental disorders and energy levels. Applicant’s score must fall into an acceptable range in each of the categories before advancing.

C.
Substance Abuse Testing

Each applicant who has successfully passed the personality evaluation is then sent for substance

abuse testing at an outside agency. Building Security Services utilizes the services of Laboratory Corporation of America for testing. A Chain of Custody form is completed and testing is done at one of theLab Corp sites located throughout the appropriate state. Results are obtained within 24 hours following the test. Providing an applicant has met the established criteria, and is drug free, the applicant moves to the next set of testing.

D.
Basic Training Module

The applicant has passed the drug screen and is now ready for the basic training modules. Once the candidate completes the test it is scored as pass or fail. If the candidate passes they move on to the next step in the process. Applicants must score a minimum of 75%.

E.
Employment Forms

The candidate is now ready to complete all payroll forms, be fitted for a uniform, fingerprinted and given their official ID badge.

Applicant Data Record
