TRANSITION

Building Security Services' transition program serves to implement an orderly transition during this time of change in your process. The following are a few of the concerns that we as a team will address to ensure a smooth transition:

Continuity of protection and safety

Knowledge of current management

Retention of key personnel

Familiarity of facility and procedures

Supervision and direction of service

Experience of new personnel

Timing of transition

Phase I - Pre-Award Contract

Conduct a physical security survey to determine the following requirements:
(1) manpower,
(2) supervision,
(3) standard operating procedures,
(4) emergency operating procedures,
(5) liaison with police, fire and emergency services,
(6)interfacing between client and Building Security Services,
(7) training, and
(8) transitional date of service.

Phase II - Contract Award

Commence recruitment and begin to discuss an implementation strategy with client approved key personnel at the site. Develop the initial draft of Site Post Orders. Set dates for weekly client update meetings.

Phase III - 14-21 Days

Begin screening process, background drug screen, fingerprinting, testing, and training programs. Following successful completion of the classroom training, each applicant is instructed in the on site procedures for the location that they will be assigned.

Phase IV - 21-30 Days

Final processing: (A) on-site procedure review, (B) review BSS Conditions of Employment for Security Officers (C) assignment of uniforms and equipment, (D) updating and reviewing of Standard Operating Procedures, and (E) review of shift, hours and start date.
