BSS was founded by Joseph Ferdinando, a pioneer in the security industry who built the company on a simple promise: provide people with protection they can count on. That commitment hasn’t changed, but the company has grown in exciting ways.
When Joseph passed the torch to his family, it wasn’t just a business transition, it was a promise to carry forward the values that made BSS what it is: integrity, accountability, and genuine care for every client and every team member.
Since 2016, Susan Ferdinando has led BSS as President, joined by her daughter Amanda DeAlmeida as Executive Vice President. Together, they bring over a century of combined experience in law enforcement, security management, and professional training – and a fresh vision for what a modern security company looks like.
As a women-led enterprise in a traditionally male-dominated field, we bring a different perspective to security, one rooted in empathy, communication, and the belief that diverse teams deliver better outcomes.
